Darnell Leatherwood ran for the U.S. House to represent Illinois' 1st Congressional District in 2019. He wanted a site to represent his beliefs and values he has to bring. His vision was to spotlight his initiatives and policies while highlighting him as an advocate for the community.
Inspiration was sought from other websites for senior members of congress.
